If you had told me back in 1997 that I’d spend the next three decades travelling the world, setting things on fire, and building massive visual spectacles for some of the biggest names in music, I probably would have told you to dream a little smaller. Yet, here we are.
For nearly thirty years, the live events industry has been my home. While my true passion and primary specialisation lie in the realm of Pyrotechnics and SFX, I’ve never been someone who stays confined to a single lane. Over the years, I’ve worn almost every hat the backstage crew has to offer. I’ve rigged lighting setups, managed massive LED video walls, and run the chaotic, fast-paced world of stage management.
Because of that, my career has spanned every scale imaginable. I’ve worked intimate, small-scale theatre productions where every whisper counts, and I’ve run production for monolithic stadium tours and massive festivals. My footprints are left on muddy fields and historic venues all over Europe, from the atmospheric fire of Wickerman in Scotland to the heavy metal holy ground of Wacken Open Air in Germany; from small, community Town Square gigs to the absolute legendary chaos of Glastonbury.
That journey has allowed me to collaborate with an incredibly diverse roster of artists, local heroes, and international legends. I’ve helped bring the visual nightmares and theatrical triumphs to life for bands and performers like:

Whether it’s syncing a wall of fire to a heavy metal breakdown, lighting up a pop anthem, or cueing a magical illusion, I love every single second of what I do.
But beyond the pyro cues, the loud music, and the adrenaline of a live crowd, there is a simpler reason I keep doing this: the people. This industry is notoriously tough, fast-paced, and high-stress. Let’s be honest—there are enough arseholes in this business already. I’d rather not be one of them.
For me, the goal is always to deliver an unforgettable show while treating everyone on site with respect. I love making real friends on the road, building bonds with local crews, and collaborating with artists as a trusted peer. At the end of the day, the gear gets packed back into the trucks, but the reputation and the friendships you build are what actually last.
